In the industry, aspects of Spa and Wellness continue to trend as integral to our daily lives.  Depending on where you go, or whom you follow, or what you hear, not all content, practitioners, or properties are the same, and it can get confusing, often leading to disinterest, disappointment, and dissatisfaction.  Too often, more is promised or inferred, than what is actually delivered or experienced.  The challenges in these industry segments is how to meaningfully present relevant components of what goes beyond the touchy-feely, to that which can be adapted to and incorporated into one’s lifestyle and health management.  Those relevancies also lead to better healthcare on a personal and professional level.

~ Biostation ~

Biostation is a concept whose time has come in redefining integrative healthcare on a level that is easily and readily accessible in wellness centers, spas, and health and fitness clubs.  As our population ages, so too are the unique health needs of the vibrant “Baby Boomer” segment of the population, which is one of Biostation’s specializations.  And as more and more individuals seek better ways to enhance and extend their lives, they are seeking alternative spaces to acquire those services, beyond the often impersonal and sterile environments of physician care offices, and outpatient medical facilities.  The Biostation mission is focused on healthy-aging, and finding better solutions to optimize that goal for the patient.  Their approach in assessing and treating the patient is incremental in order to fully appreciate the person as a whole, and as a unique individual.  Biostation’s founders include Dr. Martin G. Bloom, Ross Bloom, and Keith Foulis.  The entire Biostation team is comprised of highly skilled medical professionals that include physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, clinical specialists, esthetic experts, patient advocates, an extensive support staff, and operational administration.   Each Biostation location will be customized to address the scope of needs of guest patients, and will be overseen by a qualified medical physician, along with appropriate medically qualified support staff.  Biostation guest patients will have such areas addressed as nutrition, weight-loss, hormones, supplements, prescriptions and aesthetics.  Treatments and services offered will also include blood panel analysis and specialty testing; individual patient support and monitoring; a minimum of a one-hour physical consultation; bio-identical hormone therapy’ IV and nutrient hormone therapy programs; medical esthetics services; and, men’s and women’s sexual health programs.  Lastly, a guiding industry force allied with Biostation as a lead consultant will be Debra Koerner, noted spa and wellness expert, author and PBS program host of Journey Into Wellbeing® , and Senior Moments.  With the strength of Biostation and Debra Koerner, this wellness concept, whose time has come, will be a win-win for its guest recipients.  For more information, visit http://thebiostation.com  For more information, visit http://journeyintowellbeing.com/2017/05/29/debra-k-and-the-biostation-partner-to-improve-our-nations-health/

Seasonal transitioning requires assessing the efficacy of all of your treatment products.  Products that worked well during the Spring may not necessarily perform as well in the Summer.  Make sure to change your regimens and products to conform to changes brought about by seasonal transitioning and change.

Don’t forget to read my article, “Spring Lifestyle Transitioning Tips”, which I posted on April 25th.  In this seasonal gem, I share with you as an industry insider all of my expert tips, recommendations, and insights.  I cover everything…skin and body care, makeup, fragrance, wellness, health, and lifestyle.  This article is a potpourri of the best in seasonal lifestyle transitioning, and is also relevant for transitioning from Spring to Summer.

Take the time to notice the changes in nature from Spring until now, and enjoy it.  Celebrate and embrace those changes, because they’re a part of the cycle of life.

That’s it for this edition.  Until the next one, remember to take care of yourself and those you love.
