FACE FAVES

(Clara Bow, The "It" Girl)

Fall is in full swing.  Outdoor temps are chillier and indoor humidity levels have diminished.  For me, I’ve noticed that with the combination of these two aspects, my skin has become drier and more pale.  In my recent article “Redux: Fall Transitioning Tips”, I covered numerous aspects related to seasonal change, including the need for reassessing and changing one’s regular skincare and color regimen so both conform to the “issues” of the new season.  With that in mind, this article focuses on products that address seasonal change concerns and fit nicely into one’s adjusted routines.  This article also features reviews of products that are ideal for seasonal transitioning.  I’ve included some of my “Face Faves” from Caudalie, Darphin, Fiafini and Jane Iredale.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir ~ This spray toner is ideal after the cleansing routine, or used throughout the day for a quick pick-me-up.  The predominant rosemary aroma is calming and soothing; product is non-irritating and hydrating.  This is also a great take-with product that I’ve been using for many years.  http://us.caudalie.com/

Darphin Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water ~ This is an all-in-one, no-rinse, soothing cleanser for face, eyes and lips.  It’s particularly appropriate for sensitive eyes and skin that’s prone to redness, rosacea and irritation. I loved how it gently removed my make-up and other impurities without irritating my sensitive skin; my skin was softened, hydrated and refreshed. With neroli essential oil and natural bisabolol.  This product can also be used as a refresher throughout the day.  http://www.darphin.com/

Fiafini 100% Marula Beauty Oil ~ Marula is a nut oil with numerous natural properties that are ideal for the face; they include cleansing, rehydrating, protecting, improving cellular production and circulation.  The Beauty Oil has natural antioxidant properties that help to diminish early signs of aging, including softening fine lines and wrinkles; it’s also soothing and anti-microbial.  A tiny amount of the Beauty Oil will deliver outstanding hydration throughout the day, without leaving skin feeling greasy or tacky; quickly absorbed and ideal for all skin types; can also be used on body, hair and nails.  http://fiafini.com/

Jane Iredale Fall Collection ~ The Live In Full Bloom Puremoist Lipstick (Hannah) is a rich warm color that’s reminiscent of autumn’s burnished leaves; the color glides on easily while drenching lips with protection and nourishment.  The Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener is an ideal prep for the face that evens and smooths texture, while minimizing the appearance of large pores; it also adds a subtle bit of luminosity; can be used alone, or without any additional makeup, which is what I prefer during the day.  The 24-Karat Gold Dust (Champagne) is a perfect all-over face glimmer, or highlighter for cheekbones and under brow area; the subtle glimmer adds wonderful luminosity to the face.  The Mascara (Espresso) is definitely a glam mascara that glides on easily with a rich color, while lengthening and intensifying the finest of lashes thanks to the fab brush.  Loved how it separated and defined each lash without clumping, smudging or flaking.  https://janeiredale.com/

~ END GAME ~

All of these products provide the perfect seasonal change, coverage, color, conditioning and treatment for the face.  These products will effortlessly carry you through the seasons beyond Fall.  Enjoy!

That’s it for this edition.  Until the next one, remember to take care of yourself and those you love.
