(From Shiffa Dubai Skincare) |
Prized the world over, award-winning Shiffa Dubai offers luxurious face and body products that restore, protect, and nourish. Each product is formulated with high quality ingredients, including organic nut and plant essential oils. Each product is also the perfect complement for any face or body care regimen, and is well suited for creating an indulgent at home spa experience. I had the pleasure of testing several Shiffa Dubai products and was very impressed. Enjoy reading about my product experiences from this luxurious brand!
~ The Products ~
Floral Facial Toner ~ The Floral Facial Toner was refreshing and revitalizing, and left my skin fully
prepped for the next step in my skincare regimen, an application of a moisturizing
product. Key ingredients include Rose Flower Water, Marshmallow Flower
Extract, Roman Chamomile Oil, Vitamin C, Pomegranate Fruit Extract, Date
Extract, Cinnamon Bark, Irish Moss, Geranium Oil, and Rose Damascene Oil. This product was ideal for all skin types and extremely
gentle. Its beautiful and delicate scent
was also aromatherapeutic. Overall, my
skin looked refreshed, healthy, and hydrated.
Tip: For a quick
refresher, spray chilled Facial Toner
on the face; great for hot flash relief, too.
Diamond Face Oil ~ The Diamond
Face Oil is a complex blend of pure essential oils and extracts that is infused
with energy balancing diamond particles (although I was only able to detect one
miniscule particle; not sure if more were supposed to be in the product). This exquisite Face Oil is highly concentrated, and requires only a very small
amount to sufficiently hydrate the face, neck and décolleté; any residue on the
fingertips can be applied to cuticles.
This Face Oil is quickly absorbed,
and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. I
found it ideal for both a morning and evening moisture application, after a
gentle cleansing and Floral Facial Toner.
Key ingredients include Almond Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Apricot
Kernel Oil, Peach Kernel Oil, Rosehip Oil, Rosa Centifolia Oil, Borage Seed
Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Camellia Seed Oil, Orange Oil, Rose
Damascene Oil, Rose Flower Extract, Bitter Orange Oil, and Sea Buckthorn
Extract. The complex formulation not
only delivered superior hydration, but it was also aromatherapeutic with its
multi-layers of pure floral essential oils and extracts, particularly the rose
derivations. Overall, my skin’s texture
was improved and firm, appeared healthier and more luminous; the skintone
appeared more even, and fine lines and wrinkles appeared diminished. Tip:
Apply any excess Face Oil to
cuticles and tops of hands.
Rose Bliss Balm ~ Rose
Bliss Balm, an indulgent product, delivers intense moisturization. This beautiful product was quickly absorbed,
without leaving any unpleasant residue; hydration levels were well maintained
throughout the day; it was also aromatherapeutic. Before each application, all I had to do was take
a small amount of product, and then warm it in between the palms of my hands to
liquefy the viscous consistency. With
consistent use, my skin’s texture was silky, visibly improved with firmer and
more elastic properties. For a more
thorough product application, begin with an indulgent regimen by dry brushing
the body, then showering; after showering, lightly towel dry, and then apply
the Rose Bliss Balm to slightly damp
skin. Tip: the dry brushing will help to slough off any
dead skin cells and prepare the skin for cleansing; the damp skin will help to absorb
the warmed Balm more
effectively. When dry brushing, be sure
your skin is dry; begin the brushing from the feet, working your way up to the
upper torso; use circular brush strokes towards the heart; in addition to
sloughing off of dead skin cells, the motion will also improve circulation;
consistent dry brushing will also improve the skin’s texture. Key ingredients include Argan Oil, Evening Primrose Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Geranium
Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Rose Damascene Essential Oil, Jasmine Essential Oil,
Frangipani Essential Oil, Honey, Chamomile Extract, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter,
Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, and Vitamin E; these
oils are rich in Anti-Oxidants, Omega-6
Fatty Acid, and Linoleic Acid, which are nourishing, restorative, and
protective. This extraordinary product
is ideal for all skin types, and safe to use during pregnancy. An added touch of luxury is that the product
includes a removable section of rose petals that enhance the product’s aromatic
properties. Tip: Apply any excess Balm to cuticles and hands.
Rose Damascene Soap ~ This extraordinary luxury soap is made using the cold pressed method where no external heat is used; this process preserves the efficacy of the Soap’s key ingredients of Olive Oil and Rose Damascene Essential Oil. This extremely gentle soap is aromatherapeutic, gentle, non-irritating, non-drying, and deeply moisturizing; it’s also ideal for face, body, and hair.
Jade Facial Massage Rollers ~ The Jade Facial Massage Rollers are the perfect must-have for an at
home facial treatment regimen. Using Jade Rollers as part of a facial regimen
is centuries old and attributed to traditional
Chinese medicine; the semi-precious gemstone was (and still is) prized for
its natural healing properties, some of which include reducing swelling and
puffiness, improving circulation, minimizing pores, fine lines, and wrinkles,
improving skin’s elasticity and texture, lymphatic draining, and stimulating
muscle tone. The semi-precious gemstone
is inherently cool, and perfect as an ideal refresher. When used consistently, a more pronounced
definition of the facial bone structure, such as chin and jaw line, was
noticeable; the overall improvements to the face are also cumulative through consistent
use.
~ The Shiffa Experience ~
(From The Spa At Trump Chicago) |
To some, going to a spa is perceived as an unnecessary
luxury and hedonistic extravagance…but, when the experience in fact restores,
revitalizes, and nourishes, then that experience becomes an investment in self,
which is well worth it. For a listing of
spas currently using these exquisite products as part of their therapeutic spa
treatments, visit http://www.shiffa.com/shiffa-experience
I first time I experienced the extravagance of Shiffa Dubai products was at The Spa At Trump Chicago. My therapeutic treatment experience was their
Signature Balancing Diamonds Massage,
which utilizes Shiffa’s Diamond Body Oil. I wrote about that experience in a feature review
article, which you can read about at http://definitivespablog.blogspot.com/2011/07/spa-at-trump-chicago.html
The Spa At Trump Signature

~ Behind the Brand ~
Dr. Lamees Hamdan is the
name behind the brand that’s recognized for its healing philosophy. She has been creating organic products based
on principles of dermatology since 2004. After training as a doctor at the
Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Lamees developed what would become
Shiffa’s first product; the product was a body oil that was safe to use
throughout pregnancy. At the time the product was developed, Dr. Lamees was
pregnant, and was able to test the oil on herself; the oil also nourished
pregnant women’s fragile and sensitive skin by providing it with the maximum
hydration and conditioning to firm, tone and restore the skin and body. After
the success of this first product, Dr. Lamees set out to create her first range
of skincare products. By combining her background and knowledge in dermatology,
her passion for holistic healing and her vision for integrating nature with
science, Dr. Lamees created a range of products, which would soon define the
values of Shiffa. The release of this highly acclaimed skincare line was then
launched, and it was then that Shiffa was born. As a company, Shiffa
started in her own home where she blended and customized oils, formulated
products, and even packaged them herself. “We were small,” she says.
“There were just two or three of us in the office.” In the beginning, it was
difficult for Dr. Lamees to establish her own business in a predominantly male
environment. Her persistence and hard work paid off. In 2005, the Sheikh Mohammed Establishment
recognized her achievements as a businesswoman in the Gulf, and she was awarded
the prestigious Best Business Leader, and Best Health and Well Care
Organization. With these achievements, Dr. Lamees was
then able to secure a loan from the Sheikh Mohammed Establishment for Young
Business Leaders. It was then that Shiffa was formally established and began
making headlines.

Take the time to explore new skincare and body care product
possibilities with lines such as Shiffa Dubai.
It also makes sense to periodically audit your skincare regimen. Changes in the season, changes in your
lifestyle, and changes in product formulations change, all impact your skin. With all of these changes, it’s all the more
important to make appropriate adjustments in your skincare regimen, including
your product mix, in order to accommodate those changes effectively.
Lastly, be sure to visit the Shiffa Dubai website and social media
listings. https://www.shiffa.com
That’s it for this edition. Until the next one, remember to take care of
yourself and those you love.
