In a blink of the eye, Spring has disappeared. Summer has now kicked into high gear with
daily bouts of crystal blue skies, warm to steamy hot temperatures, bright and
cheery sunshine, balmy breezes, and all-things outdoors. As we continue transitioning from one season
to another, finding new product discoveries to make that transition all the
more enjoyable is what my latest is all about.
Here are a few finds sure to please.
Enjoy!

Summer skin can be stressed out skin, given the in and out effect of
the summer’s heat and humidity, and the in and out plunge into air-conditioned
cold and dryer temperatures. The
following products are ideal for your new summer skincare regiment. These products will nourish and replenish
your skin’s mantle with just the right polishing, toning, and moisturizing.
Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare: Complete Clarity Daily Facial Exfoliating Polish and Recapture Day + IR Anti-Aging Treatment ~ I wasn’t that familiar with this celebrity line, but thought I’d try some of its targeted anti-aging products. I tried the Complete Clarity Daily Facial Exfoliating Polish and Recapture Day + IR Anti-Aging Treatment. Of these two, my favorite was the Complete Clarity Daily Exfoliating Polish. I enjoyed the way it cleaned without stripping the skin; it was non-irritating and non-drying, and left my skin feeling fresh and clean. Key ingredients include Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Salicylic Acid, Rose Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Apricot Fruit Extract, Jasmine Flower Leaf Extract, Coffee Leaf/Seed Extract, Clove Flower Extract, Shea Butter, and Safflower Seed Oil. The other product I tried, Recapture Day + IR Anti-Aging Treatment, left my skin texture feeling “matte and dry”, versus “hydrated and moisturized”; the product wasn’t irritating and did absorb quickly; fine lines and wrinkles were minimized, however. Key ingredients include Glycerin, Algae Extract, Jojoba Seed Extract, Copper, Shea Butter, Chicory Root Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Apricot Fruit Extract, Jasmine Flower Leaf Extract, Coffee Leaf Seed Extract, Clove Flower Extract, Rose Extract, and Sea Water. This product has received the Seal of Recommendation from the Skin Cancer Foundation. For more information, visit

7th Heaven Peel-Off Masks: Manuka Honey, Cucumber, and Black Seaweed ~ I enjoyed trying all three of these Peel-Off Masks. The Manuka Honey did a wonderful job of leaving my skin feeling clean and hydrated without looking dull. Key ingredients include Aloe Vera, Manuka Honey, and Jasmine. The Cucumber was the ideal mask for a quick refreshing treatment that gently cleansed skin without drying it out. Key ingredients include Cucumber, Lime Oil, and Pressed Flowers. The Black Seaweed was ideal for placing on those areas that produced excess oil; left the areas clean and fresh without drying. Key ingredients include Sea Salt, Lava Seaweed, and Sea Buckthorn. I actually did my own customization of these Peel-Off Masks by applying the Manuka Honey to the dry areas, cheeks and jaw line; applying the Black Seaweed to my oily T-zone; and, applying the Cucumber to remaining normal areas. If you enjoy the warmth of the summer sun to get that summer glow,
don’t forget to protect your delicate skin from the ravages of the UVA/UVB with
the duality of products that both protect and color enhance the summer skin. Following are a few products to add to your
daily makeup routine.
Mineral Fusion Mineral Makeup: Lipstick (New Crush) and Eyeshadow Trio (New Riviera) ~ While many may prefer the burnished glow of a summer tan to brighten their face, I prefer the subtle glow of mineral makeup colors that enhance and brighten. Mineral Fusion Mineral Makeup does just that, while also providing healthy ingredients that are safe and gentle, and deliver hydration. I tried their Lipstick in Crush, a subtle pink that reminded me of peony petals; my lips were drenched with moisturizing ingredients that kept my lips from drying from the effects of the harsh sun; you can also use this a blush, on the eyelid for a pop of color. Key ingredients include Sunflower Seed Oil, Castor) Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Coconut) Oil, Avocado Oil, Thyme Oil, Rosemary Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cranberry Seed Oil, White Tea Leaf Oil, Honeybush Leaf Oil, Pomegranate Oil, and, Vitamin E; all oils are certified organic. For a bit of color, I tried their Eyeshadow Trio in Riviera. Colors included Taupe, Sand, and Teal; the Taupe is a matte color, while Sand and Teal have a hint of shimmer; the beauty of these beautiful colors is that you can use them individually, or combined for a customized look; colors glide on, don’t fade, or cake. Key ingredients include Vitamin E, Vitamin C, White Tea leaf Extract, Rooibos Red Tea Leaf Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Sea Kelp Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, and Elderberry Fruit Extract.
