SUMMER FORWARD ~ PART TWO

In a blink of the eye, Spring has disappeared.  Summer has now kicked into high gear with daily bouts of crystal blue skies, warm to steamy hot temperatures, bright and cheery sunshine, balmy breezes, and all-things outdoors.  As we continue transitioning from one season to another, finding new product discoveries to make that transition all the more enjoyable is what my latest edition is all about.  My latest product finds are sure to please, and include 29 Lydia Mondavi, Jane Iredale, La Roche Posay, Crabtree & Evelyn, and Models Own Makeup.  Enjoy!

~ Skincare ~

29 Lydia Mondavi Cosmetics First Crush Lip Scrub ~ This Lip Scrub gently exfoliates away dead skin cells, leaving the lips silky smooth, and drenched with hydration.  Key ingredients include Grape Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Apricot Seed Powder, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Vitamin E, and Shea Butter.  For more information, visit http://www.29bylydiamondavi.com; products are also available at Target stores and online; https://www.target.com

Jane Iredale Magic Mitt ~ This truly is a Magic Mitt.  It’s made from superfine micro-fibers that delicately remove makeup without requiring any type of cleanser; all that’s needed is warm water, which activates the micro-fibers.  The Magic Mitt leaves skin super clean; it also gently exfoliates, leaving the skin silky to the touch.  For more information, visithttps://janeiredale.com

La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water ~ This Spring Water is a great way to rehydrate and refresh the face and neck areas throughout the day, especially when heat and humidity assault delicate skin.  The only ingredient in this product is Selenium-rich Pure Water; Selenium is a natural mineral and antioxidant.  My Tip: Chill the container in the refrigerator before using; when you need a refreshing pick-me-up, spritz away next time you’re uncomfortably warm or hot; great minimizing “hot flashes”.  For more information, visit http://www.laroche-posay.us

Crabtree & Evelyn Classic Rosewater Body Lotion ~ This is a delicate moisturizer that has a subtle and scent of Centifolia Rose, a hybrid flower that can have as many as fifty to one-hundred delicate and lightly scented petals; the delicate scent also exemplifies Summer.  Key ingredients include Rosa Centifolia Water, Vitamin E, and Glycerin.  The Body Lotion was quickly absorbed without leaving any greasy or tacky residue; the skin felt silky to the touch and looked healthier.  For more information, visit http://www.crabtree-evelyn.com

Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Stick in Moonlight and Barely There Eyeshadow Palette~ Whether it’s the color of the clothes you wear, or the colors of your makeup, Summer requires a gentler, softer approach, with a muted and subdued color palette.  Both the Highlighter Stick and Eyeshadow Palette are the perfect Summer makeup colors for the au natural look, or to subtly accentuate a beautiful tan.  The Highlighter Stick gave the perfect hint of shimmer to checks, eyes, or décolletage, while imparting a soft amount of hydration.  Key ingredients include Rosa Canina Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Grape Vine Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Aloe Leaf Extract, and Coconut Oil.  The Eyeshadow Palette contains five matte and five shimmer neutral colors with a range of pink, peach, beige, and brown.  These colors are great alone, or mixed to customize for your own stylized signature Summer look.  For that perfect Summer look, use an all-over color on the eyelid, with a contrasting color in the crease, and finish off using a sweep of the Highlighter Stick on the eyelid.  For more information, visit https://www.modelsownit.com

Seasonal transitioning requires assessing the efficacy of all of your treatment products.  Products that worked well during the Spring may not necessarily perform as well in the Summer.  Make sure to change your regimens and products to conform to changes brought about by seasonal transitioning and change.

Don’t forget to read my article, “Spring Lifestyle Transitioning Tips”, which I posted on April 25th.  In this seasonal gem, I share with you as an industry insider all of my expert tips, recommendations, and insights.  I cover everything…skin and body care, makeup, fragrance, wellness, health, and lifestyle.  This article is a potpourri of the best in seasonal lifestyle transitioning, and is also relevant for transitioning from Spring to Summer.

Take the time to notice the changes in nature from Spring until now, and enjoy it.  Celebrate and embrace those changes, because they’re a part of the cycle of life.

That’s it for this edition.  Until the next one, remember to take care of yourself and those you love.
