In a blink of the eye, Spring has
disappeared. Summer has now kicked into high gear with daily bouts of
crystal blue skies, warm to steamy hot temperatures, bright and cheery
sunshine, balmy breezes, and all-things outdoors. As we continue
transitioning from one season to another, finding new product discoveries to
make that transition all the more enjoyable is what my latest edition is all
about. My latest product finds are sure to please, and include Devera
Naturals Skincare, Guinot Body Care, Jane Iredale, and Le Métier de Beauté. And, what would an article of mine be if it
didn’t touch upon aspects of spa and wellness?
Read about Biostation and the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, two
approaches that are changing the face of spa and wellness, while making a
difference in the lives of people and their health. Enjoy!

Devera Naturals Rosewater Cleansing Toner, and
Super Serum ~ This all-natural and
pure product line was inspired by generation’s of Swiss formulated
artisan-crafted recipes and further developed to address purity of skincare for
individuals recovering from medical challenges, or who were seeking a skincare
line that was toxin-free. The Cleansing Toner was very gentle and
non-irritating, and quickly removed impurities and surface debris; skin was
left refreshed and hydrated; ingredients also made the product
aromatherapeutic. Key ingredients
include Rosa Damascene Flower Water,
Witch Hazel Extract, Hydrolyzed Oats, Aloe Leaf Juice, Black Willow Extract, Lavender
Oil, and Rose Geranium Oil. The Super Serum was a critical component
of my nighttime skincare regimen; my skin was beautifully hydrated without any
irritation; product was quickly absorbed and left skin feeling silky. The hydration properties were so effective,
that I didn’t find it necessary to use a moisturizer over it. Key ingredients include Kukui Seed Oil,
Coconut Water, Algae Extracts, Macadamia Seed Oil, Lemon Peel Extract, Olive
Fruit Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Linoleic Acid, Lycopene, and Lemon Peel Oil. For more information, visit https://deveranaturals.com

Guinot Institut Paris Sculpt Expert Reshaping
and Firming Body Cream, and Eau Mirific Skin Freshness Body Mist ~ Sculpt Expert Body Cream not only delivers restorative hydration, but
it helps to smooth, tone, firm,
and soften skin. Results are visible,
especially in areas where skin needed some tone; skin appears firmer and softer;
effects are cumulative. Product was
quickly absorbed, without leaving any greasy or tacky residue. Key ingredients include Brown Seaweed (firmness), Hydroxyproline
(reinforces/repairs collagen and elastin), Polyosides (lifts, softens, and
smoothes), Vitamin E, Algae Extract, Sorghum Extract, and Glycerin. Mirific Body Mist
is a hydrating body spray that refreshes and delivers restorative
moisture. This is the perfect Summer remedy
for over-exposed skin from the season’s elements, like too much sun, or too
much water. Product was quickly absorbed
without leaving any greasy or tacky residue; also left skin smooth and silky to
the touch; the exotic floral fragrance at first was a bit strong, but quickly
dissipated in the dry-down. Key
ingredients include Passion Flower
Oil, Castor Oil, Mimosa Extract, and Glycerin. For more information, visit http://www.guinotusa.com

Jane Iredale Balance Hydration Spray and PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation in Ivory ~ This is the perfect Hydration Spray that refreshes, nourishes, and balances the skin. My Tip: Try chilling this, and spritz away for an even greater burst of freshness next time you’re overheated. Key Ecocert certified organic ingredients include Grapefruit Peel Extract, Orange Peel Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Chamomile Flower Extract, Olive Leaf Extract, Algae Extract, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Orange Essential Oil, and Radish Root Extract. And, is the perfect Mineral Foundation that glides on silky, and gives maximum matte coverage that’s also sheer. I was amazed at the
coverage and how natural it made my skin look, as if I didn't have any makeup on. Coverage never caked and
remained throughout the day, and never faded. This is an all-natural product that has an SPF20, and has
earned the coveted Skin Cancer
Foundation Seal of Recommendation. Key ingredients include Mica, Pine Bark Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Algae Extract, and Plankton Extract. For more information, visit https://janeiredale.com
Le Métier de Beauté Hydra-Crème Lipstick
in Cardinale ~ A
pink-red Lipstick glides on
beautifully, drenching lips with moisture.

Butter, Vitamin E, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, and Candelilla Wax. The rich pigment is long
lasting, and won’t stain lips. For more

Spa and Wellness ~
(Image from www.thefogmunnar.com) |
In the industry, aspects of Spa and
Wellness continue to trend as integral to our daily lives. Depending on where you go, or whom you
follow, or what you hear, not all content, practitioners, or properties are the
same, and it can get confusing, often leading to disinterest, disappointment,
and dissatisfaction. Too often, more is
promised or inferred, than what is actually delivered or experienced. The challenges in these industry segments is
how to meaningfully present relevant components of what goes beyond the
touchy-feely, to that which can be adapted to and incorporated into one’s
lifestyle and health management. Those
relevancies also lead to better healthcare on a personal and professional
level.
~ Biostation ~
Biostation is a concept whose time has come in redefining integrative healthcare on a
level that is easily and readily accessible in wellness centers, spas, and
health and fitness clubs. As our
population ages, so too are the unique health needs of the vibrant “Baby Boomer” segment of the population, which is one of Biostation’s specializations. And as more and more individuals seek better
ways to enhance and extend their lives, they are seeking alternative spaces to
acquire those services, beyond the often impersonal and sterile environments of
physician care offices, and outpatient medical facilities. The
Biostation mission is focused on healthy-aging,
and finding better solutions to optimize that goal for the patient. Their approach in assessing and treating the
patient is incremental in order to fully appreciate the person as a whole, and
as a unique individual. Biostation’s founders include Dr. Martin G. Bloom, Ross Bloom, and Keith Foulis. The entire
Biostation team is comprised of
highly skilled medical professionals that include physicians, nurse
practitioners, registered nurses, clinical specialists, esthetic experts,
patient advocates, an extensive support staff, and operational administration. Each Biostation location will be customized to
address the scope of needs of guest patients, and will be overseen by a
qualified medical physician, along with appropriate medically qualified support
staff. Biostation guest patients will have such areas addressed as nutrition, weight-loss,
hormones, supplements, prescriptions and aesthetics. Treatments and services offered will
also include blood panel analysis and specialty testing; individual patient
support and monitoring; a minimum of a one-hour physical consultation; bio-identical
hormone therapy’ IV and nutrient hormone therapy programs; medical esthetics
services; and, men’s and women’s sexual health programs. Lastly, a guiding industry force allied with Biostation as a lead consultant will
be Debra Koerner, noted spa
and wellness expert, author and PBS program host of Journey Into Wellbeing® , and Senior Moments.
With the strength of Biostation
and Debra Koerner, this wellness concept,
whose time has come, will be a win-win for its guest recipients. For more information, visit http://thebiostation.com For more information, visit http://journeyintowellbeing.com/2017/05/29/debra-k-and-the-biostation-partner-to-improve-our-nations-health/

Seasonal transitioning requires
assessing the efficacy of all of your treatment products. Products that
worked well during the Spring may not necessarily perform as well in the Summer.
Make sure to change your regimens and products to conform to changes brought
about by seasonal transitioning and change.
Don’t forget to read my article,
“Spring Lifestyle Transitioning Tips”, which I posted on April 25th. In
this seasonal gem, I share with you as an industry insider all of my expert
tips, recommendations, and insights. I cover everything…skin and body
care, makeup, fragrance, wellness, health, and lifestyle. This article is
a potpourri of the best in seasonal lifestyle transitioning, and is also
relevant for transitioning from Spring to Summer.
Take the time to notice the
changes in nature from Spring until now, and enjoy it. Celebrate and
embrace those changes, because they’re a part of the cycle of life.
That’s it for this edition. Until the next one, remember to take care of
yourself and those you love.
