While Spring is less than forty days from now, Winter’s vengeance is
still wreaking havoc across the U.S. My
area is under a Weather Watch and supposedly ten or more inches of now will be
dumped over the next few days.
My skin is taking a beating from the harsh affects of dry indoor
humidity and frigid temp, and while I’m no fan of heat and humidity, I find myself
anxiously lying in wait for the arrival of warmer temps and the return of all
that nature has to offer.
Today’s edition features some wonderful products that treat and heal
winter weary skin, like the luxurious new Crème Hydra Summum from Guinot Paris,
and Lansinoh, pure Lanolin products from HPA, a company that is mom-tested and
approved; lastly, there’s the tantalizing and transformative Winter Collection
2018 from industry icon Jane Iredale. This
remarkable kit will diminish the pallor of winter weary skin with subtle beauty. Lastly, I’m shining the SPA-tlight on some
wonderful wellness related treatment therapies and programs at The Spa at
Carillon Miami Wellness Resort.

Guinot Crème Hydra Summum
Guinot’s Crème Hydra Summum is a new luxurious
facial moisturizer that uses intense hydration to fight the effects of aging,
such as wrinkles and dull skin. This
rich cream has a beautiful texture that is non-greasy and was quickly absorbed
without leaving any residue; hydration levels remained throughout the day. Skin is healthy looking with a luminous
glow. Key ingredients include the
proprietary Hydralogic Complex, which creates a barrier to lock-in moisture,
and stimulate circulation for a bright and luminous healthy glow. Other ingredients include proprietary Hydration Complex
– Aquasilanol, which fortifies the structure of the skin barrier while
helping increase the skin’s capacity to store water, and restores the flow of
water, and their proprietary Anti-Ageing Molecule – Hyaluronic Acid, which enables the skin
to increase its water storage capacity.
Other ingredients include Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, and Glycerin. My skin was visibly improved after the first
few times I used it as a day cream and as a night cream; the unevenness of my
dry patches became balanced through regular use; the texture of my skin was
silky to the touch; it was also great used in the orbital regions and wasn’t at
all irritating to the eye.

Jane Iredale Winter Collection 2018 ~ Cool
GreatShape Contour Kit, Warm GreatShape Contour Kit, Rose Gold Contour Brush,
and Rose Gold Blending/Contouring Brush
You can always count on the genius
of this iconic brand to come up with the right mix of products that are perfect
for the season at hand, and which also address season-specific issues. Winter’s frigid temps and lack of consistent
sunlight always make skin appear pale and washed out. Adding luster and subtle beauty to combat
these issues by using professional tools and makeup that Contour, Shape, Color, and Highlight are exactly what the Winter Collection 2018 is all
about. The professional application
tools include a Contour Brush for
sculpting and contouring; its straight edge and densely packed synthetic
bristles allow for precision application of makeup to transform the shape and
contour of the face; there’s also a Blending/Contouring
Brush; its angled edge and medium density synthetic bristles also for a
beautiful sweep and application of just the right amount of makeup for
blending, highlighting, and subtle contouring.
Each GreatShape Contour Kit is
available in either Warm or Cool Matte Shades that perfectly complement
any skin tone. Each Kit contains a Highlighter, Blusher, and Contour for both Warm and Cool skintones. The

Lansinoh HPA Lanolin and Lanolin Minis
While this product was developed
for the special needs of lactating moms, hands down it’s a winner for
addressing and treating the extremes of parched dry skin. The products are made from pure lanolin, which is one of nature’s
soothing and restorative super intense moisturizers. Lanolin
is a wax naturally secreted by the sebaceous glands of wool-bearing
animals. Used by humans, it comes from
domestic sheep breeds that are raised specifically for their wool. It also prevents
and treats skin that’s been ravaged by the harsh affects of frigid temps, super
dry air, and repetitive irritation. For
